Child of God, you cost Christ too much for Him to forget you. —cs

“It happened when I was 7 years old. I grew up in an orphanage in Ziway. On Sundays the orphanage usually lets us go to meet with friends and visit the city. One Sunday it was late, and got lost because I accidentally became separated from my friends. I saw two men and asked them for the direction to the orphanage. They said they knew where it was and offered to take me there, but they ended up taking me to their house. They forced themselves upon me, and raped me the whole night. Now I live in the streets of Addis. I can’t go back to Ziway because the men that raped me are in Jail, if their friends find me they will kill me.”

I grew up without the love of a father. I also didn’t know what having a father could mean. If he ever decides to come back, it is too late, for I am a full grown person without him. But I now know God is a much better father to me and I rely on His love. And I want my biological father to know Him too and experience His love. This would make a big difference in his life. But I don’t know where he is.

More specifically, we have to have a change of mindset. Not only do we need new buildings and other infrastructures, we need to have a bigger mindset as well. The only way this change starts is from me and you individually. It can happen like a chain reaction, from a community to a nation then to a country. We all need to be strong because “A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link"-Humans Of Addis Ababa
