THE BEHIND THE SCENES OF DEAR ETHIOPIAHi I am Camille! I am also known as "Kemila", "Cami", "Joy" or "Mille Mille"! I am the founder, photographer, producer, editor and author of Dear Ethiopia (: I am a 26 year old Pre-Law alumna of The Ohio State University where I completed my thesis. I am currently studying for the LSAT to pursue my J.D somewhere with no snowy winters. My dream is to become a lawyer and then a televised Judge. My thesis was conducted in Ethiopia on women coming out of prostitution. If you like to know more about that thesis or about me, just click the sections at the top of the page. I am also working on building a team which you are able to meet in the about tab as well. God bless. |
Here are some of the beautiful beneficiaries of Dear Ethiopia. I've passed out random donations to families on the streets, donated to schools, low-income based programs service projects, and provided ongoing monthly support.
Thank you again for all your support! |
FIKIRThis little ball of fire received clothes on my very first visit and wanted a photoshoot in her new clothes(: . She is dare devil and loves a nice thrill! She also enjoys going to the park and hanging with friends. Unfortunately her mother has passed and she was raised by her aging grandmother, but she ended up passing as well. We tried to lighten the burden in 2014 as well as following up in 2015 and 2017. She is apart of our After School Program but often as difficulties due to her living circumstances.

WEYNSHET & YOHANNESThese two were apart of The Ellilta Women's At Risk program in the summer of 2015. So we were able to survey, and track her progression for over three months as well provide donation for her and her children. Weynshet has 4 children, 3 were adopted with Yohannes being the youngest in her care. Yohannes is the sweetest, and cutest little boy you could ever meet.

BERHANEThis adorable little beaut received diapers and clothes donated from some of our sponsors in the summer of 2015. Her mother was one of The Ellilta Women as well and received clothes upon doing her pre-survey for our thesis research. They were also receiving monthly supplement for a year and was hired to work at a local coffee shop and restaurant. Once they were on their feet they were able to self sufficient.

FREHIWOT (ENAT)The lovely Frehiwot (Ennat)! She is the eldest of three siblings, super helpful and mothering. She received her first donation in 2014 as well as her family and expecting mother (our youngest recipient). She also has a wonderful voice, and just as powerful of a testimony.
In 2017 her and her family received generous donation of clothes, food and toys. Ennat also was given a few one time job opportunities, & well compensated. |
